We are located above The Lazy Mon @ Stanford's close to the surf break called "Salsa Brava" but we are called "LAZY LOFT" if you are asking for directions.  We are right on the edge of town and if you ask anyone where the Lazy Mon is, they will tell you.

 

Here are some options for getting to Puerto Viejo. The journey can be long at times so if your flight arrives after 3 pm we would suggest staying the night in San Jose and getting a fresh start in the morning.  If you decide to stay in San Jose, Hostel Pangea offers a shuttle service from the airport to their hostel. Interbus also has a terminal in the baggage claim area of the airport where you can book a shuttle to whatever hotel or hostel you choose.

 

There are a few different ways to get to Puerto Viejo from San Jose.  You can take a bus which can take between 4-6 hours depending on traffic and the time of day.  The earliest busses tend to get here faster so "Rise and Shine"!

 

You can also take a shuttle which usually has air conditioning and sometimes WIFI.  We suggest using Caribe Shuttle which has both of these options and you can book directly from our website to make things easier for you.

 

If you choose public transportation, we are very easy to locate after you get off the bus.  When you get off the bus you walk south.  You can walk inland one block and make a left on the main road if you choose or just follow the road closest to the beach.  As long as the ocean in on your left then you are headed in the right direction.  Go about 500 meters and after you pass the fishing boats and the Supermarket "Diamante" you see the Lazy Mon.  We are located above the Lazy Mon and across the street from Restaurante Mopri.
