Where else would you take a surf class if not in Puerto Viejo?
At 10 am we started our surfing class at Playa Negra. It was a pretty sunny morning and I still had a little hangover from last night..
We were a group of five students, with mixed levels and three surfing teachers. Even though it was hard and I fell more, then I thought I would, it was still exciting! At first we got a little bit of instruction - to get to know the basics:
which foot goes forward, how to stand up and where to center your weight, after that you are ready to go!
After those two hours I was exhausted, full with sand and salty water, but happy and my little hungover was completely gone.
The 55$ were definitely worth it.
If you already know how to surf you can just rent a board for 3000 CRC, not even 5€.
The name of the surf school is "Surf the Jungle¨, it is located on the main street in Puerto Viejo, Maybe like a 2 min. walk from the Lazy Loft.
