Bike tour to Punta Uva

Today I rented one of the Lazy Loft bikes (5$ per day) and went to the beach Punta Uva. You just ride down the main road and will pass Salsa Brava, Playa Cocles and Chiquita. After bout 9 km you are at Punta Uva and will see a sign. The bike ride by itself is already really beautiful. The road goes through a national park and passes the river negro. The nature you get to see is incredible!

At least 10 million different tones of green, intense and bright colors.

I even saw a big black snack slithering across the street. Beside the beautiful nature, that frames the road, are there also a lot of cute little wooden huts within cafes, restaurants and bars -perfect for a break!

Punta Uva is an idyllic beach, it is perfect to go swimming because you don't have any reefs or stones inside the water. There is a little shop where you can rent surfboards and boats but besides that it is faraway.

The beach is divided by a huge rock that you can climb up. Up there you have an amazing view over the wide sea and both beaches.

The other side of the beach is even more spacious, but I thought the first one is better to go swimming.

On my way back I saw three little slots hanging in the trees -

Welcome to Costa Rica!
